Early bird

While I usually joke around that the early bird is the first one to get shot, this morning I saw an amazing sight. As I was walking between meetings I saw a cute little bird with a dead worm in it's mouth and it struck me that this might be the first time I have seen such a thing. As I walked closer I spooked the bird but then a half block later I caught up with it and actually saw it pull a worm out of the ground (amazing!) and throw it on the sidewalk where it started to peck at it. I really feel like I got to witness something special today.
